She has a Master of Library Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and additional postgraduate education in Public Administration. She has worked in a variety of information environments, including university, corporate, museum, and health sciences libraries and information centers. Deborah is active in local, regional and international professional library organizations and is a member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals. She has authored articles in the professional literature and is also a part-time faculty member at Diablo Valley College in the Library and Information Technology program.
