Deb Hunt, Principal of Information Edge, has over 25 years of professional experience in providing customized client solutions in document, digital asset and knowledge management and library automation. Her passion is to focus on the needs of clients, help others excel and improve access to strategic knowledge.
Deb has a Master of Library Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and additional postgraduate education in Public Administration. She is also a certified enterprise content management practitioner (ECMp). She has consulted in a variety of information environments, including university, corporate, pharma, government, museum, and health sciences, empowering organizations in finding solutions to their document, digital asset and knowledge management challenges.

Deb is a respected leader in the information industry and is active in local, regional and international professional organizations. She is a Past President of the Special Libraries Association (SLA), a global association of over 8000 information professionals. She currently is the President of the Knowledge Management Community of SLA and has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP). She was the recipient of the SLA Karen J. Switt Leadership Award in recognition of her significant contributions to, and leadership in, the profession of information management. In 2012, she received the Lucy Steelman Award from SLA Silicon Valley for her commitment to mentoring others in her profession. Deb has authored articles in the professional literature, co-authored The Librarian’s Skillbook and presented at numerous conferences.
