Social Media at a Library Near You

Last night, I was part of a panel that presented to a group of SLA members from the Sacramento area. The topic was Social Media at a Library Near You. The presenters included a law librarian, academic librarian, special librarian and an independent information professional (me).  We covered blogging, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, LinkedIn and SLA’s 23 Things.

My LinkedIn segment included how to use it to find a job. Many of those in attendance had not thought of it as a job finding tool. Of course, it is so much more than that. I hope you’ll take a look at the presentation (it’s short) that you can download from the Information Edge website:

I’d like to hear your feedback on how you use LinkedIn or SLA’s 23 Things.
